From Family Bibles and personal knowledge of Joseph Carl Kilpatrick - COMMENTARY by Joseph Carl Kilpatrick - I married Laura Lucille Cowan born February 28, 1910 on April 4, 1931. We moved to Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina and lived there from the time we were married until the year 1947 when we moved to Murphy, Cherokee County, North Carolina to go into business for ourselves. We built and operated the Peachtree Farm and Home Supply as well as the Peachtree Texaco Service Center until our retirement in 1974. We have three children Patsy Carlene, Sybil Maxine and Joseph Carl, Jr.
Carlene, born March 3, 1934 married Robert Essco Ramsey of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, born August 4, 1954. There are 3 children of this union. (1)Robert Victor, born February 13, 1956 who married Judy Parchment, born January 18, 1956 on December 31, 1977. Robert and Judy have 3 children Stephen, Martin and Beth. Robert and Judy live in Moyack, North Carolina where he pastors the Moyack Baptist Church. (2) Pamela Sue, born July 13, 1957 married Dean Oberg, born August 7, 1976. Pamela and Dean have 2 children Matthew Dean and Laura Sue. Pamel and Dean live in Ovilla, Texas. (3) Marc Everett, born April 11, 1959 married Janice Sawyer, born December 15, 1959 on April 11, 1979. Marc and Janice have 2 children Jacob and Jessica. Marc and Janice live in Mesa, Arizona.
Carlene married Herbert N. Bates, born May 5, 1933 on April 2, 1977. There were no children of this union. Carlene and Herbert live in Marietta, Georgia and both work for IBM.
Sybil Maxine, born October 11, 1935 married Harold Gunter of Oak Ridge, Tennessee on November 6, 1970. There were no children of this union. Sybil and Harold live in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee where Maxine is a buyer for Martin- Marietta Corporation.

Joseph and Vernice live in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia where Joe works as an engineer with Delta Air Lines.
